Plaza.jpgWe saw the problem up close.
We moved our own family to Seville from abroad, and found out what it takes the hard way. Bloom Seville is the guidance we wish we had had.
The person behind Bloom Seville.
Ninia Cruz founded it after moving her own family from the Philippines to Seville in 2024.
Mother of two, she saw first-hand where families arriving from abroad lose time, money and school options. Everything we do is built around closing those gaps.
Why we built it.
Moving here showed us how much of Spain runs on things nobody tells you. Three gaps kept coming up, and they are the reason this company exists.
Nobody explains the order
Spain has an order to do things in, and nothing tells you what it is. Get it wrong and a month disappears waiting for an appointment.
The decisions are not as separate as they look
School, home and timing feel like three choices you can make one at a time. In Spain they depend on each other in ways that are not obvious, and most families only find that out after one of them has been made.
Everyone starts from scratch
Every family arriving meets the same gaps alone, from the beginning, usually in a language they are still learning. There was no reason for that to keep being true.
There was no compass for any of it. Bloom Seville is that compass.
We left for the kids. That is the short answer, and it is the true one.
Comfortable is not the same as safeWe were living well in the Philippines, but living comfortably is not the same as living safely. Comfort is one part of what we want to give our children. Safety, health, freedom and experiences matter as much.
The pandemic settled itCovid made us decide to make bolder choices. We did not want to be stuck in a broken healthcare system again.
We wanted our children to grow up with perspective: knowing the world is bigger than where they were born.
Not running away from where we came from.
Being brave enough to explore where life might take us.
Healthcare here is a human right. It’s not a business. It’s not a luxury.A Spanish friend
Somewhere to live in, not look at.
We chose Spain to actually live, not to visit. It is the difference between a place you pass through and a place you raise children in.
- Walk to things, instead of driving to all of them
- A city laid out for people long before it was laid out for traffic
- Slow enough that an ordinary day is worth something
- Children who grow up knowing there is more than one version of a good life
What we left, and what came with us.
The cars, and most of what filled a house. It turns out very little of it was the point.
The things that actually meant something. They fit into far less space than we expected.
The goodbyes. We spent the last ordinary day with family, and that was harder than any part of the paperwork. The children, meanwhile, were excited, and mostly wanted to know whether there is a Shake Shack in Spain.
The Philippines. It will always be home. We simply chose to add another chapter.
What we are, plainly.
- Advise, plan and represent you on the ground in Seville.
- School placement and the home, start to finish.
- Student visas and the Spanish paperwork around your move.
- Not a school. We cannot hand out places; those decisions belong to the schools and the Junta de Andalucía.
- Not the landlord. We find and check homes with you; the owner decides who rents.
- Not the consulate. We prepare student visas only, and refer other visas to a partner we trust. Every visa decision belongs to the consulate.
